Glasgow Prestwick Airport have formed an alliance with Balkan Holidays to offer flights to the increasingly popular destination of Bulgaria in 2009. Flights will operate to the Black Sea in the region of Bourgas which is only 30 minutes from one of Bulgaria's biggest beach resorts  - Sunny Beach which all will enjoy.

In Bulgaria you will find a Euro-free country that has benefits such as beer for less than a pound, and a three course meal for less than £10. The Balkan Holidays Sales and Marketing Manager Chris Rand has commented on the announcement of the route by saying;

"We are delighted to be operating from Glasgow Prestwick for summer 2009 as our holidays are very popular in Scotland. We look forward to working with travel agents to make this flight a success, and to offering the people of Scotland wonderful holidays from their local airport."

The Chief Executive of Glasgow Airport has also offered his comments by adding;

We would like to welcome Balkan Holidays back to our airport and we are excited about these flights to one of Europe’s increasingly popular destinations. We are confident Bulgaria and the Black Sea resorts surrounding Bourgas will prove popular among Scots looking for great value beach resorts and plenty of sunshine."
